Jennifer is a partner at Emswiller, Williams, Noland, & Clarke, LLC, where her practice focuses heavily on estate planning and family law. She is experienced with matters involving adoption, divorce, custody and child support (initial and modification), estate planning and litigation, guardianships, paternity, protective orders, and relocation. Jennifer is also trained in Collaborative Law.
With an understanding that estate and family law matters are important and sensitive, she strives to determine a solution that is specifically tailored to work best for each individual family. In her free time, she loves being outdoors and spending time with her family.
Jennifer has been selected to Super Lawyers Rising Stars since 2022. This distinction is given to 2.5% of lawyers in the state annually and is based on a lawyer’s professional achievement and peer recognition.
Jennifer Turner, vice president of philanthropy at CICF, helps support more than 1,300 families, companies, and not-for-profits to design philanthropic plans that are both meaningful and impactful. With expertise in fundraising, capital campaigns, planned giving, and more, Jennifer helps organizations of all kinds maximize their missions and ensure their long-term sustainability.
Prior to working at CICF, Jennifer was the director of development for the Indiana Repertory Theatre where she led their development program for 7 years including completing an $18.5 million major gifts campaign raising $20 million. Jennifer has a passion for creating partnerships and connections within the community to create meaningful impact.
Sarah Weaver, General Counsel and Vice President of Giving Strategies, has been with CICF since 2016. As General Counsel, Sarah serves as a strategic advisor, providing legal guidance, aligning executive priorities, and ensuring efficient governance and operational execution across the CICF Collaborative. Sarah also leads the Giving Strategies team at CICF, developing and maintaining relationships with legal and financial advisors, supporting and advising donors on gift planning options, and creating new charitable funds. Prior to joining CICF, Sarah worked at Ice Miller LLP as an attorney in the areas of real estate and environmental law for five years, having moved to Indianapolis after graduating from law school at Washington University in St. Louis in 2011.
Designing Your Legacy: Charitable Tools for Every Giving Goal
The presentation explores practical and strategic approaches to charitable giving during life and in your estate. Through real-world scenarios, the session highlights how charitable funds can be used to meet evolving family dynamics, maximize tax efficiency, and honor legacy giving goals. Additional topics include IRA qualified charitable distributions, split-interest gifts (charitable gift annuities and charitable trusts), strategic distribution of specific assets to heirs and charity, and giving appreciated assets, including publicly traded stock, real estate, closely held business interests, and more. Attendees will gain insight into thoughtful planning and how to maximize sustainable, meaningful charitable impact during your life and beyond.
Josh White represents clients in the areas of corporate law and estate planning. He makes meaningful connections with clients to foster a mutually beneficial relationship to help them achieve their goals for themselves and their family in order to create a lasting legacy.
Josh helps his clients create and protect legacies. Having spent his entire career in family-centric legal disputes, he is acutely aware of how sudden changes in an individual's life can create a ripple effect for the rest of the family.
Josh focuses his practice on Medicaid planning, estate planning through the creation of wills, trusts, and powers of attorney, guardianships for both adults and children, and estate administration. Josh prides himself on his compassion for those affected by the passing of a loved one and his ability to use his knowledge to help clients create the best plan for their own future and the futures of those they will leave behind.
