Members will receive the following on September 15, 2024:

If a Member's Creditable Service Is:	The Amount Is:
At least 5 years, but less than 10 years	$150
At least 10 years, but less than 20 years	$275
At least 20 years, but less than 30 years	$375
At least 30 years	$450

So, who are we, and what exactly did we do to secure a 13th check?

We are the Retired Indiana Public Employees Association (RIPEA), established in 1972 to represent the interests of Public Employees' Retirement Fund members: You.

We worked hard to secure a 13th check for you and your fellow PERF retirees by:

Surveying members to inform legislative priorities and secure critical, quantitative member data
Securing strong legislative authors and sponsors
Lobbying legislators directly to reinstate the 13th check and establish a new hybrid model
Testifying in House and Senate committee hearings
Coordinating with our contract lobbyist to press for action in the halls daily
Issuing action alerts that activated members and bolstered advocacy efforts
Writing op/eds, issuing press releases, and collaborating with media to message the importance of a 13th check
Collaborating with partners and creating talking points and infographics to ensure consistent messaging

These past few years without a 13th check were a reminder that nothing is guaranteed and proof that continuous legislative efforts are needed to support PERF retirees now and for years to come.
