Jerome
(Chick) Alles -- District 9
Mr. Alles served as Township Trustee for
13 years. After serving as Trustee
he was elected Mayor of Jasper and served
a total of 12 years as Mayor. Mr. Alles
currently is in his 6th year as member of
the DuBois County Council. Mr. Alles
joined the RIPEA Board in 1999. |

L. Armstrong, P.A. -- District 7
Mr. Armstrong served Marion County and the
city of Indianapolis as a full-time employee
for 27 years. Mr. Armstrong served as
City Controller during the Lugar and Hudnut
administration which was highlighted by his
selection as the top City Controller in the
country in 1987. Mr. Armstrong currently
owns a consulting firm and serves on numerous
Boards and Commissions. Mr. Armstrong
joined the RIPEA Board in 1992. |

Thomas
V. Barnes, Attorney-at-Law -- District 1
Mr. Barnes, a retired army colonel, is the
former Mayor of Gary, Indiana. Mr. Barnes
currently practices law in Gary and is an
active member of Brother's Keeper, a homeless
shelter for needy men. Mr. Barnes joined
the RIPEA Board in 1998. |

Marty
Chitwood -- District 4
Ms. Chitwood is the former City Clerk
Treasurer of Greenwood, Indiana. Ms.
Chitwood was also a State Tax Examiner, Executive
Secretary with the Department of Corrections
as well as Secretary to the Director of the
Monroe County Welfare Department. Ms.
Chitwood currently works with the Indiana
Senate and House during legislative sessions. Ms.
Chitwood joined the RIPEA Board in 1998. |

Craig
Hartzer, Ph. D. - At Large
Dr. Hartzer served
as Deputy Mayor of the City of South Bend,
Commissioner of the Indiana Department of
Workforce Development and Executive Director
of the Public Employees Retirement Fund.
Dr. Hartzer currently serves as Director
of Executive Education in the School of
Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana
University. Dr. Hartzer joined the Board
in 2006. |

Morris
Mills -- At Large
Mr. Mills is the Former State Senator, and
also a former State Representative. He brings
to the Board a wide scope of experience in
state budgetary matters having served as Budget
Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee.
Mr. Mills was recently honored by IUPUI -
Indianapolis by naming an atrium of a new
building. Mr. Mills joined the RIPEA Board
in 2001. |

Roger
Parent -- District 2 Mr.
Parent has dedicated most of his life to
public service and the Peace Corps.
Mr. Parent was mayor of South Bend for 8
years after serving 8 years on the South
Bend Common Council. Mr. Parent has
served in the Peace Corps on 2 separate
tours of duty spending his Peace Corps service
in Thailand. Mr. Parent joined the
RIPEA Board in 2005. |

John Riemke
-- District 3
Mr. Riemke was mayor of Kendallville for 20
years and also the
Town Manager for the towns of Avilla and Albion.
He is currently serving on the Board of Directors
of the Indiana Public Employers Plan, Inc.
and the Parkview Noble County
Hospital Foundation. Mr. Riemke joined the
RIPEA Board in 2004. |

Judge
Merton Stanley -- District 5
Judge Stanley served as Judge of the Howard
County Circuit Court for over 12 years. He
then became chairman of the Utility Regulatory
Commission of Indiana, serving for 6 1/2 years.
He most recently was a State Senator for 2
terms. As a Senator he served as Budget Chairman
of the Senate Finance Committee. He was also
a member of the State Budget Committee. Mr.
Stanley joined the RIPEA Board in 2000 |

Betty
Stevenson -- At Large
Mrs. Stevenson served as the Assessor
of Center Township, Hancock County for four
years. She was then appointed as the
1st female field representative of the State
Board of Tax Commissioners and later the 1st
female supervisor of the State Tax Board. Among
her numerous volunteer duties she was chairperson
of the Local Heart Drive and Community Chest. Mrs.
Stevenson joined the RIPEA Board in 1989 |

Harold
Woodruff -- At Large
Mr. Woodruff is a resident of Frankfort and
served the citizens of that city as a policeman,
police chief and Mayor. As police chief
he was very active in the traffic safety programs
and worked closely with the Bureau of Motor
Vehicles in this area. Mr. Woodruff served
as Mayor of Frankfort for 8 years. Mr.
Woodruff joined the RIPEA Board in 2000. |
